We strengthen the hands of the minister of education and minister of policy and security, Minister Naftali Bennett, for his commitment to present the application of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria as an objective that necessitates self-sacrifice and call upon him and the other ministers to advance from declarations to actions.
The editors of the Sovereignty site, the Forum for Sovereignty and Women in Green encourage and strengthen the hand of the minister of education and minister of policy and security, Minister Naftali Bennett, for his commitment to present the application of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria as an objective that necessitates self-sacrifice.
Minister Bennett’s clear words, which were said at a gathering in memory of Rabbi Hanan Porat, obm, take on added importance since they come from the mouth of a cabinet member who is aware of the complex political and security situation in which Israel is situated.
With these words, Minister Bennett strengthens the statement that he made in an interview for issue no. 3 of the Sovereignty Journal, saying that he does not accept the approach “Things that you see from there you don’t see from here”. On the contrary, those same principles and values that informed him on his way to a seat in the government continue to constitute for him a possible and necessary objective also as a member of government. “I believe that the opposite is true – things that you see from here you see from there. Being in the government things seem exactly the same. On the contrary, from here I see even more how correct our approach is”, said Bennett then, in the interview for Sovereignty.
These words fit together well with the words of other leading ministers, for instance, Minister Zeev Elkin, Minister Ayelet Shaked, Minister Yariv Levin, Minister Ofir Akunis, Minister Haim Katz, Minister Yisrael Katz and others.
Attempts by MKs of the radical Left to label Minister Bennett’s words as delusional and encouraging civil war are empty attempts of those who have long since lost touch with political reality in the region, while they still believe that it is actually the establishment of a terror state in the heart of Israel that will bring a solution to Israel’s problems. The facts and history, which have exacted, until now, a heavy, inconceivable price in blood for Israel’s every concession and retreat, do not lead them to a new way of thinking and disillusionment, and they throw their frustration on those who say things honestly and openly and present a policy objective before the People of Israel.
There is no doubt that the words of Minister Bennett and the MKs who join him in the vision of sovereignty require a sober view of policy and public courage, mainly because of the brainwashing that the People in Israel has undergone by well-funded and influential interests in Israel and abroad. They took care, in every way possible, to remove from the agenda any policy proposal that does not include withdrawal, concessions, division of the Land and a rift among the People.
We encourage Minister Bennett in his efforts to restore the ship of Zionism to its true objective – Jewish sovereignty in all areas of the Land of Israel because this Land is ours.
And to those government ministers who support sovereignty we say at this time – the time has come to move on from declarations, statements and expressions of commitment, which are of great value, to the language of action, whose value is greater. The time has come for political facts on the ground and to act on applying Israeli sovereignty on all areas of our Land. Act and succeed!
