Dear friends,
Greetings.

Against the background of the remarks made by American President Donald Trump’s advisor, Avi Berkowitz, that the matter of sovereignty has not been dropped from the agenda, we repeat what must be adopted as the State of Israel’s guiding principle: We must act in every way to promote sovereignty and apply it, but never as part of a political deal including concessions, withdrawals or agreeing to the principle of establishing an alien state in the heart of our homeland.

Standing strong for this principle is the cornerstone for the entire government of Israel .

Demonstrating leadership

We would like to congratulate the members of YESHA Council for the solidarity that they showed when they announced that it would not take part in the meeting with the Prime Minister as long as David Elhayani, the  head of the Council and the head of Samaria Council Yosef Dagan, were excluded by Netanyahu’s office.

Elhayani and Dagan stand strong for their ideological position and public mission, despite the political price that they pay and the announcement by the settlement leaders that the boycott of the two would not be accepted strengthens the settlement’s fortified wall.

Their standing behind Elhayani and Dagan makes clear to the Prime Minister, the ministers and the entire people that you are all strong in your call for Israeli sovereignty over the entire Land and the uncompromising objection to the establishment of a Palestinian state in the heart of our Land.
Well done!

The children remember Mama Rochel

On Wednesday we broadcast  a special evening from the Oz veGaon preserve on the day of our Mother Rachel’s yahrzeit, in which we participated together with the head of Gush Etzion Council Shlomo Ne’eman, Minister of Higher Education Ze’ev Elkin, Member of Knesset Amit Halevy (Likud), Member of Knesset Michal Kotler-Wensch (Blue and White), Dr. Leah Goldin, Rav Ya’akov Medan and Rav Itiel Bar Levi, moderated by the CEO of the Besheva Group, Dudu Saada and accompanied by the music of Mussa Berlin.

The event was very successful and moving and was watched by thousands throughout the Land and abroad, with speeches on the character of our Mother Rachel as a source of faith and hope for the return of her sons to their Land. From this, the call arose to increase the efforts to return Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul, z”l, as well as the importance of holding onto the lands of Judea and Samaria as part of the prophecy, “the sons shall return to their borders”.

During the conference, we participated in a special panel dealing with the political ramifications of the legacy that our Mother Rachel passed on to us, and this is expressed in the battle for the vision of sovereignty, with efforts by the settlement enterprise and the change in consciousness that is taking place in Israel as well as in the international political sphere.

The Sovereignty Youth is already looking forward to the next project, the Hanukah seminar, which will conclude a large hasbara project covering the entire land. The event will be called Explaining Sovereignty and will take place on Sunday, the 27th of Kislev at the Oz veGaon preserve.

Eliahu Friedman, one of the hasbara campaign’s leaders and one of the producers of the seminar, says that the seminar will be divided into three parts, with the first part presentations by Dr. Mordechai Kedar, Eran Bar Tal and former Member of Knesset Ayelet Shaked.

In the second part of the seminar, a practical workshop will be held for the youths and in the third part, for the first time, former members of the youth movement will attend for 10-minute TED lectures, each one on different subjects. From their activities and experiences in the movement, former members of the movement will talk about the goals that are appropriate to set for the movement’s activists, meetings and events in which they took part, etc.

The uniqueness of the seminar is also in the combination of familiarity with the basic information as well as with advanced information such as the economy, democracy, the Middle East, the Corona virus, etc.”, says Friedman, who notes that the seminar will be held in capsule format, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Health. At this point, the activity is planned in two capsules, but even now, it seems that the demand is expected to be higher and ways are being explored to have additional capsules for the seminar.
