We are happy to present you with our Sovereignty bulletin # 33, sent to members and supporters of our Sovereignty Movement. You are invited to read, get updated, send us your comments and join:
Dear friends,
Greetings.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Saudi Arabia has resulted in many commentaries and interpretations of the changes that are occurring in the Middle East. Here, we will relate only to one of them, which is based on the remarks made by senior and veteran commentator Ehud Ya’ari, following a discussion with a very senior figure in Ramallah.
Ya’ari cites the senior official, who told him that as a result of the Arab world turning its back on them, there is increasing willingness among the PA leadership to agree to a political proposal that would grant them ten percent less than what was proposed by Ehud Barak. Ya’ari also estimates that the pace of progress of contacts between Israel and Saudi Arabia depends very much on Israeli willingness to agree to go toward the Palestinians, since even if the Saudi leadership hates the PA and its leaders, the people in Saudi Arabia needs such a step so that hearts will be ready to accept Israel as a partner and ally.
These two points, the quote from the senior Palestinian along with the commentary of Ehud Ya’ari, arouse serious concerns about the possibility that the enthusiasm around the regional peace progress will lead Prime Minister Netanyahu into a political process in the same spirit as the Trump plan, meaning some kind of deal that will include establishing a Palestinian state.
This week a report was also published on the proposal for Netanyahu’s candidacy for the Nobel Peace Prize. Following this piece of data, along with the sense that the next elections are approaching, we might actually see Netanyahu run to complete dangerous political steps in the spirit of the Bar Ilan speech, meaning Donald Trump’s Deal of the Century, even if Trump himself is no longer president of the U.S.
In the face of all this we, who love the Land of Israel, must again repeat in a loud voice: We will not, in any way, allow the establishment of a foreign state in the heart of our homeland. Not even in theory. We will not betray the Zionist vision and the People of Israel’s longing for generations to apply our sovereignty over all parts of our Land. Our call is clear and resolute: Sovereignty without any connection to the establishment of a Palestinian state in our Land, and if for this we need to take to the streets, they will find us there, and if for this we need to do hasbara (persuasion and explanations) from house to house, we will do this with faith and assertiveness. Time and again the People of Israel has voted for parties that committed themselves to the vision of sovereignty. The hearts of the people are ready for this. Now, we are in the practical phase and we would certainly not accept a setback to the nightmare of tearing the Land apart into two states
.
We will not settle for less
Many words of praise were given to the government this week, relating to the decision to regulate the young settlement enterprise. The blessings and words of praise are appropriate, but also, the expectation and demand that the things will not end just in declarations and headlines but also in deeds; we must remind you: Regulation of the settlement is not a substitute for the realization of the great and complete vision of the State of Israel’s sovereignty over all parts of the Land of Israel.
There is a significant anxiety that ironically, the Right camp will view the regulation of the settlement as an answer to the humanitarian needs of the residents, as an appropriate and sufficient solution, but this is not the case. The regulation of the settlement is important to state, as soon as possible, that it is legal and will continue to develop with the support of government offices. However, we must not become blinded by the local answer while forgetting the just and comprehensive claim. The lands upon which the communities have been established, new as well as older ones, are lands of the Land of Israel and have but one exclusive sovereign, the Jewish People and its state.
Indeed, while one of the advantages of sovereignty is stabilizing the settlement and strengthening it, this is not the purpose of the application of sovereignty. Sovereignty is not intended to solve some local municipal problem or other. It is not just a response to terror and not just to strengthen the settlement, but to make it clear to the entire world, and especially to ourselves, that this Land belongs exclusively to the People of Israel.
For this, we will continue to demand that the ministers, members of Knesset and public emissaries of the Jewish People continue to progress toward realizing the vision without being satisfied with small pieces of the great dream.
Sovereignty will preserve History
We would like to offer praise to our friend, Member of Knesset Michal Shir of the Likud, for her continuing efforts to strengthen the young settlement enterprise and for raising the demand for sovereignty at all times and at every opportunity.
Last week, Member of Knesset Shir addressed a minister of the Defense Department with a query in which she requested to clarify what the Defense Department is doing to prevent the Arab takeover of Joshua’s Tomb at Mount Ebal. Minister Biton’s worrying response to the practical lack of ability to protect the Jewish heritage sites in Judea and Samaria, led Member of Knesset Shir to remind the Minister that the application of sovereignty would solve the issue.

For me, sovereignty is…
And this time, our guest is Member of Knesset Osnat Mark (Likud):
“To me, sovereignty is the natural and required justice for the Jewish People over its Land. The fulfillment of G-d’s promise to our forefathers”.
The last chance to join the campaign
Preparations for the Sovereignty Youth’s hasbara campaign are in full swing. The fund-raising for the event is almost over. On behalf of Sovereignty Youth and on behalf of members of the Sovereignty Movement, adults and youths alike, we are thankful for every donation that was raised until now for the project. With your contributions, you strengthen the spirit of the youth, which senses the tailwind for its activity, and in doing so, you, together with us, are also preparing the future generation of leadership in Israel.
It is still possible to join the last effort of fund-raising for the campaign, that will include broad hasbara activity on the social networks, the production of videos, distribution of hasbara materials, holding meetings and discussions between youths all over the country, setting up hasbara booths and more.

Praying for Miri Tsachi
Our movement adds its prayer to the prayers of tens of thousands of lovers of the Land of Israel for the well-being and recovery of our dear friend photographer Miri Tsachi who through her camera lens strengthened our love and living connection to the landscapes of the Land of Israel, accompanied the settlement project and captured moments of sadness and joy.
Let us pray together that the right to love the Land of Israel will stand for her in the difficult days she is going through. Her name for the prayer: Miriam Bat Garcia.
