Dear friends,
Greetings!

If there are no surprises or unexpected events, it looks like we will soon find ourselves at the voting booths again.

In previous elections the Prime Minister made sure to promise that he would apply Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. It is doubtful if there is any better “barometer” in Israeli politics to gauge the mood of the people than Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s promises.

Netanyahu is well aware of the people’s increasing desire to apply sovereignty and take responsibility for the events that occur in Judea and Samaria, and he is building the election campaign for his party (the Likud) accordingly.

We can assume that in the next elections – the fourth in the series – the main focus will be on the issue of coping with the Corona virus, however, we must not, Heaven forbid, leave behind the demand to realize the vision of sovereignty as promised and as the citizens of Israel desire. The physical health of the People of Israel does not contradict their spiritual and national health, which requires that sovereignty be applied over all parts of our Land. We will need to stress this demand in the near future to the elected officials who represent those who love the Land and are loyal to it. We will exert public and media pressure so that the vision of sovereignty will not be pushed aside politically.

We will also make sure, this time, that when the emissaries of the national camp make promises and commitments to sovereignty, there will not be any kind of hidden political deals that view sovereignty as a bargaining chip in order to establish an alien state in the heart of our Land. The sovereignty sought by the People of Israel is pure sovereignty that does not include any kind of agreement to give up part of the only homeland of the Jewish People.

Sovereignty without Apologies

Currently, the members of the Sovereignty Youth movement are in the midst of a hasbara campaign in the entire length and breadth of the country. Supported by your encouragement and donations, the youths have initiated and led the hasbara campaign to sharpen the messages of the vision of sovereignty and its importance among the younger generation.

Take a glance at the schedule and tasks that the young men and women have set for themselves, and as expected, they meet their goals. The youth is creating a new generation of awareness, growing up with the demand for sovereignty as an integral part of their world view. For them, sovereignty is not only an answer to unrealistic ideas of dividing the Land, but the just, ethical, Jewish and Zionist vision that the People of Israel has aspired to since its birth. The youth is free of “complexes” and views sovereignty as a logical and solid plan that will also result in regional security and stability.

Sovereignty for me is ...

And this time with the Minister of Environment, Gila Gamliel :

'Sovereignty for me is doing justice. As a minister for environmental protection, I also became aware of the environmental injustice that prevails in Judea and Samaria due to the invalidity of many environmental laws, which harms the quality of life of the Jewish residents who are dear to my heart. The people of Judea and Samaria have the right to clean air, just as in the rest of the country, and sovereignty will allow this. "

Lighting Sovereignty over the Jordan Valley

We are approaching the holiday of Hanukah, the holiday of Jewish sovereignty over the Land of Israel. We will be marking the first day of the holiday with a special program that we will broadcast to you and to many thousands of other supporters of the vision in all parts of the Land and abroad.

The broadcast will be held at the foot of the Sartava fortress, overlooking the Jordan Valley, to highlight the call for the immediate application of sovereignty over the Jordan Valley, a step that has the  broadest support in the Israeli Knesset. This could even be done during the period of disunity before elections. It is possible and appropriate to view the step of sovereignty in the Valley as a unifying step, around which, members of coalition and the opposition from various parties and factions in the Israeli Knesset can coalesce.

The broadcast will include a political-diplomatic discussion on the future of the Valley. The discussion will be led by Journalist Emily Amrousi, joined by various members of Knesset. We will also bring you pre-recorded remarks by several members of Knesset and ministers whose remarks reinforce the promotion of sovereignty in the Jordan Valley. With Dr. Gershon Bar Kokhba we will sail back in time, to the Jewish history of the Valley and we will hold a ceremony to light the first candle of Hanukah with Rav Shmuel Eliahu.

Here is the program. We hope to see you participating. To receive a link (for free) to the event please email us your name, cellphone and email address to [email protected]

Sources of the Conflict

Oz veGaon zoom lectures are continuing at full strength and many are taking part, participating and inviting friends, acquaintances and relatives to join.

Last week we held a discussion with Prof. Aryeh Eldad on the origin and basis of the Jewish-Arab conflict during which, among other things, Prof. Eldad presented his answer to one of the key questions posed to those who promote the vision of sovereignty: What will be the status of the Israeli Arabs once sovereignty is applied.
