Dear friends,
Shalom and Greetings!

The People of Israel has just commemorated Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes Remembrance Day, and next week we will be commemorating Memorial Day for the IDF fallen and victims of terrorism and the State of Israel’s Independence Day.

The victory over the Nazis and their supporters is etched in our historical consciousness with the Allies’ victory in the war, but the victory over the Nazis continues, becomes greater every day with the routines of Jewish daily life, here in the Land of Israel.

There is victory in planting a tree and building a house in the Land of Israel, with every birth of a Jewish baby in its Land, with every simple, daily discussion that we hold in Hebrew, the language of the People that the Nazi oppressor sought to destroy, with every blue and white flag that waves, with every discussion in the Israeli Parliament on any subject, with every tour of our land’s byways, with every Torah lesson that the oppressor sought to silence, every time another book is written in Hebrew, every new immigrant descending from the plane, every Hebrew guard enforcing the State of Israel’s laws throughout all of her territories and every Israeli soldier who stands up to fulfill his mission and every Israeli invention that brings more light into the world. All of these and the countless other daily things that we all do are part of the ever-broadening mosaic of the Jewish People’s victory over those who rise up to destroy us.

A great giant step forward in this victory is the Jewish State’s sovereignty over the Jewish People’s Land, which arose from the dust of that terrible war to become an example to the entire world. We will continue to act with faith and dedication to apply Israeli sovereignty over the entire Land, not only as an expression of the Jewish People’s victory, but especially as part of our historic duty to realize the People of Israel’s destiny.

We have returned to you

We have the great privilege to congratulate the Ateret Cohanim NGO for continuing its great work in restoring the People of Israel’s practical sovereignty to its capital, Jerusalem.

(Shiloah Village (Silwan). MILNER MOSHE. NPC)

Ateret Cohanim has acquired four residential complexes in Shiloah Village (Silwan) where 15 pioneering families have entered, carrying the banner for the entire People and reminding all of us that the vision of the return to Zion has not ended and is not yet complete. During the  riots of the 1930s, Jews were expelled from the Shiloah village and the British government promised that immediately after order was restored there, they would be able to return to their homes. But whereas the exile was carried out, the promise of return was not.

The houses that were purchased in the village in recent years and populated by Jewish families combine a deep message along with the highest possible form of historic justice. The People of Israel has returned to its Land and the capital from which it was brutally exiled. Go forth and succeed!

The Jewish Sovereign

The existence of Jewish politics in the Land of Israel is also part of the great victory in which we all share.

During these days of forming the next government, we remember, and remind ourselves and our leaders again and again that the governmental expression of Israeli sovereignty, the government of Israel, cannot depend or be based on support or consent by those who want to see the annihilation of the State of Israel and the establishment of an enemy state or a state of all its citizens in its stead.

Now is the time to call on our leaders again, to keep utmost in their minds, the best interest of the State of Israel, the good of the Jewish People, and to form, together, a strong and broad government. Struggle at home for principles and values, but do not lean on foreign or hostile support. This is in your hands, leaders and elected officials.

The formation of a government supported by the Arabs is not only a failure of leadership and sovereignty, but a terrible stain on the People of Israel, that would prove, Heaven forbid, that it is not capable of internal unity and due to internal battles, it prefers to ally itself with aliens and hostile agents. This is not what the Almighty seeks to bring to the world through the resurrection of Israel in its Land.

During the next days and weeks, we will act according to this spirit in the public venue, with public announcements and personal meetings with leaders of the Right camp in order to bring good news to the People of Israel.

A message to Mansour Abbas

Regarding this, watch the clear remarks made by Rav Shmuel Eliyahu, the rabbi of Safed, and rabbi of the Sovereignty Movement on the idea of the Raam  party joining a right-wing government. Rav Eliyahu reminds all of us, Jews and Arabs alike, of some historic and theological insights that we sometimes forget, in the flow of events:

“G-d rules the world. There is no other besides Him. We came here to this Land because G-d gave us this land. Brought us back here after the exile. We came here from 102 countries. And we defeated 10 countries that wanted  to rise up and eliminate us. How did we win? How is it possible that we won? This is what G-d did. He who fights us, fights against G-d. And he who fights G-d has not the slightest chance.”

With wishes for independence and sovereignty,
Shabbat shalom,

Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar
