Germany will transfer 100 million Euros to PA projects, including in Area C. Again, it turns out that there is no such thing as a political vacuum. In the absence of sovereignty, the Arab erosion and takeover of the area increases.
“Once again, we see that there is no such thing as a political vacuum and the political paralysis is causing deterioration”, the Sovereignty Movement responds to publications on an agreement between the German government and the PA, stating that it will transfer 100 million Euros to the PA to develop projects, including in Area C.
“Since Israel is not applying her sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, the Arab takeover is increasing. The Fiyyad plan to take over Area C is receiving international political approval and now, even official economic support, eating away more and more of Israel’s sovereignty”, says the Sovereignty Movement. The German activities are simply a violation and disregard for Israeli sovereignty, in a manner that is even contrary to the accursed Oslo Accords, which left Area C under exclusive Israeli responsibility”.
The Sovereignty Movement is critical of how recent Israeli governments have closed their eyes to the constant Arab activities to take over more and more land throughout Judea and Samaria as part of the Fiyyad plan, determining political and practical facts on the ground in the area and actually establishing a de facto Palestinian state without any Israeli agreement or consent.
The movement calls on Israeli leaders in both the opposition and the coalition to act immediately to halt the German action and advance steps of Israeli sovereignty, which have broad support among a majority of the Israeli public. “Only sovereignty will make it unequivocally clear who is the exclusive owner of the Land of Israel; only sovereignty will stop the PA’s illegal expansion into more and more land in Judea and Samaria; only sovereignty will cut off the Arab dream to establish an Arab state on the ruins of Israel”.
The organization called Ad Kan exposed the agreement and published in response: “The government of Israel is quietly abandoning the area of Judea and Samaria and allowing the PA to occupy it, de facto, as if Israel did not exist. European countries that are supposed to be our allies are investing billions of their own taxpayers’ money to violate the sovereignty of the State of Israel. “The time has come for the government to take a clear stand before the Israeli public and explain what its plans are regarding the areas of Judea and Samaria and not allow foreign governments to determine facts on the ground unilaterally, week after week”.
It should be noted that the heads of the Land of Israel Lobby in Knesset, MKs Orit Struk and Yoav Kish, have published a response, which is harshly and directly critical of the government and its leaders: “Unbelievable – the German government is giving 400 million shekels to the Palestinian Authority, and the Israeli government is giving the Palestinian Authority more than the German government. All of this is happening while the Palestinian Prime Minister declares clearly that the funds will be invested in taking over Area C or in salaries to terrorists. Bennett and Gantz are knowingly lending their hand in the funding of terror and funding of the Palestinian takeover of Area C”. The Lobby calls on “the Israeli government and its head to wake up and cancel the plan to fund the Palestinian Authority with Israeli taxpayers’ money, act against the German funding and of course, to stop the illegal Palestinian takeover of Area C, as the government has promised in the coalition agreements”.
In response to the agreement, the chairman of Binyamin Council also criticized previous governments of Israel that led to the present deteriorating situation: “Governments of Israel have ignored and continue also today to ignore , the Arab occupation of Judea and Samaria, which is proceeding at an alarming pace. Germany is very involved in its efforts and it is almost too late. Quick governmental mobilization is necessary for action in the field and to take steps in the international arena”.
