Dear friends,
Shalom – and wishes for a good and healthy winter
The holidays are behind us and the People of Israel returns to the daily routine of activities, creating and building, on the personal, community and national levels.
Despite the bloody, difficult and painful experience of the Oslo years, the Left continues to use the opportunity to suggest its position in favor of the “two-state solution” as a logical, diplomatic solution. It is taking advantage of the opportunity to harshly criticize the Prime Minister for not including the Palestinian matter in his speech at the UN.
By doing so, the Israeli Left gives us more proof that as long as we do not continue to act with full force and power to promote the application of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, the Left will act vigorously and feverishly to bring upon us the disaster of dividing the Land and establishing an Arab state in its heart.
We must return to acting in every way, in the political field as well as the Israeli street, to increase the awareness of the importance of sovereignty, to encourage those who support sovereignty in the government and outside of it, so that they will present their views confidently on the public agenda. And as you can see in the following lines, we, in the Sovereignty Movement, are preparing to expand and increase our hasbara activities, even if it seems that the composition of the existing coalition is a little bit discouraging. We must keep in mind that the great majority of the People supports the position of the national camp calling for sovereignty and strengthening the connection between the People of Israel and its Land.
There is no vacuum. In the absence of sovereignty, the Arab takeover increases
As more worrying and alarming evidence that when we do not apply sovereignty the vacuum is filled with practical and political Arab takeover, we received information that 100 million Euros had been transferred by Germany to the PA to carry out various projects in Area C.
The transfer of these funds is part of the comprehensive plan by countries of the European Union to aid the PA Arabs in taking over more and more parts of Judea and Samaria. As we recall, the movement Ad Kan revealed that each country of the European Union got “responsibility” for part of Judea and Samaria where it is to support the PA leadership in determining facts on the ground while completely ignoring the State of Israel, its government and its authorities. The sum of 100 million Euros was transferred by the German government to carry out those projects in the field for which the German government is “responsible” to determine Arab facts on the ground.
It has again become clear that since Israel has not applied her sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, Arab control over the area is increasing. The Fiyyad plan to take over Area C is receiving an international political imprimatur and now, official economic support to erode more and more of Israel’s sovereignty.
In response to the German-Arab move, we published an op-ed in the Sovereignty website, criticizing the way the “latest governments of Israel have been closing their eyes to the constant Arab activity to take over more and more land throughout Judea and Samaria as part of the Fiyyad plan to determine political and practical facts on the ground thereby establishing, de facto, a Palestinian state without any Israeli agreement or consent”.

A Land-of-Israel experience
During the intermediate days of Sukkot, we held a large activity for visitors, adults and youth, at the Oz veGaon preserve, with the focus of the activity being the living connection to the Land of Israel, its past and its future. Thousands took part every day in the lively and varied activities.
Within this framework, members of Sovereignty Youth held a special event that included various workshops throughout the preserve, among which were games, activities, original creations and more, all of which focused on the idea of strengthening the consciousness of sovereignty and the connection to the Land of Israel, its landscapes, towns and sites.
We greatly appreciate the Sovereignty Youth for these activities, as well as many others throughout Israel and in social networks. With such a youth as this, the future looks clear, bright, secure and promising.
The joy of Torah and joy of the Land
The events of Sukkot and Simhat Torah concluded with second hakafot, which took place at the Oz veGaon preserve, led by Rav Yosef Tzvi Rimon, the new regional rabbi of Gush Etzion. Our friend Shlomo Ne’eman, head of the Gush Etzion Council, celebrated with us, as well as members of the security forces, residents and may others.
The event was organized by Hapina Hahama directed by Ruthi Gillis, the Gush Etzion Religious Council and Community Center.
Back to work
With the conclusion of the holiday season and the return to routine and daily activity, our movement, as well as Sovereignty Youth Movement, is preparing a renewal of hasbara activity with renewed momentum, to both strengthen and promote the vision of sovereignty, explain its importance and encourage its internalization within the leadership and the public, as well as to promote the Greater Jerusalem plan to expand the borders of the Israeli capital and establish a metropolis with key significance to the life of the State of Israel.
As we recall, according to the plan, the area of Jerusalem will be expanded in the north by including several towns in Binyamin within it, in the south by including Gush Etzion within it, in the east by expanding the city to include Ma’ale Adumim, and in the west, by adding Mevaserret Zion to the capital metropolis.
This plan, which in the past has won support from all Zionist parties, will inspire a new spirit within the People of Israel; it will make it clear to us and to those around us that Jerusalem is the beating heart of the People of Israel, that the State of Israel cannot be disconnected from the Land of Israel and it will prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Within the next few months, we will be acting in the streets of Israel and vis-à-vis the leadership of the state to spread and promote the idea that has already won the support of many members of Knesset.
