Dear friends,
Have a good month.
The month of Shevat is here, the month of planting and bonding with the soil of the Land of Israel, the month of going out into the part of nature most natural to the People of Israel and from it. May we draw freshness from the Holiday of Trees at its heart, from the bond that is renewed every single day between us as individuals and as a nation on the one hand, and the Land of Israel on the other.
Do not bring us back to those red days
Our movement views with great concern the meetings between the Defense Minister and Head of the PA, Abu Mazen and the resulting series of gestures to the PA, which continues its incitement against Israel, continues to pay salaries to terrorists and their families, continues to work toward bringing Israel’s leaders and fighters to trial in international court and continues to strive for the destruction of Israel.
It was with just such dangerous meetings that the terrible Oslo process began. Such dangerous meetings revived Yasser Arafat after his defeat in Lebanon and turned him into an accepted and respected “statesman” in the hypocritical world. Such dangerous meetings have given new life to the terrible idea of dividing the Land and tearing it apart to establish an Arab state in its heart.
Our clear demand from every member of the coalition and the government who have a Jewish and Israeli heart beating within, is to act in every way possible to stop these meetings. If there is a need to arrange civil or security matters, they can be arranged in lower-ranked channels and not at the ministerial level, which grants the enemy legitimacy and power.
Pioneering and faith against weakness and destruction
An encouraging Zionist, pioneering spirit full of vision, hope and optimism enveloped the thousands who ascended to Homesh at the end of the period of Shivah for Yehuda Dimentman, Hy”d.
During the ascent to Homesh, we met with all parts and sectors of the strong and healthy People of Israel, long-time citizens along with olim, children and adults, groups and individuals, residents of the center and the periphery, who came to declare with their presence the inseparable bond between the People of Israel and its Land.
This strong, healthy spirit is the backbone that the Jewish People of Israel will build upon.
But the next day, the painful scenes of the destruction came again to the soil of Homesh. The difference between the People’s pioneering soul and the weak spirit of the leadership is as obvious to all as the difference between the two events.
We must return to calling from every stage to the Israeli government and its legislators: The defeatist Law of Disengagement and displacement, which is against all Zionist and humanitarian values, must be erased from the State of Israel’s lawbook. There is no reason at all for this terrible law, which perpetuates the expulsion of the Jews from the soil of northern Samaria . The job of the elected representatives of the People is to remove the law immediately that seeks to make northern Samaria Jundenrein.
Updates on the matter of the consulate
According to information coming from the U.S., the Biden administration has understood that because of the composition of the current government, it will not be able to promote the re-opening of a Palestinian consulate in Jerusalem. For the very fact that these messages were conveyed, from Israel’s point of view, the government’s ministers are to be commended. It seems, however, that Biden will not totally remove the item from the agenda – he intends to freeze it until after the rotation, when Minister Yair Lapid will be appointed as prime minister.
These days are expected to be difficult and the American pressure that will be applied will not be at all simple. There is a great chance that we will again find ourselves in the streets, demonstrating our love and adherence to Jerusalem, demonstrating against the step and we again call on the nationalist ministers to stand strong against dangerous steps whose purpose is to breathe new life into the two-states idea.

Seeing the problems and thinking about solutions – in the field
Lately, we began a series of special tours for opinion shapers in the media, academia and politics. We intend, with these tours, to see painful points of neglect of the State of Israel’s sovereignty and governance.
The first, disturbing tour that we held was in the Negev. We toured in the Bedouin population, met with experts in what is happening in the area, conversed with residents of the Negev, and with the Bedouins themselves, to become familiar with the problem in depth, from the desire and hope to think about proper and realistic ways to solve the difficult situation.
We met with a chaotic situation but also with Jewish pioneers imbued with faith, hope and love for the Land who prove, through their everyday activity that the change is possible even if it is difficult and complex.

In future tours, we will visit Judea and Samaria, Jerusalem, the Galilee and the Jordan Valley.
Painful partings
This past month we parted from two giants of spirit and deeds who were, for us, a guiding light of insight and direction and a fine example of doing, pioneering and implementation.
We parted from the rabbi of Gush Etzion, Rav Gideon Perl, zt”l and from Rav Eliezer Waldman, zt”l. We will continue in the spirit of these two and cling to the heritage of love for the Land of Israel, we will connect with the chain of the vision of Zionism over the generations and we will mobilize for the task of the generation of rebirth.

Have a good Land-of-Israel month
