Dozens of Sovereignty youth from all over the country arrived at the Oz veGaon Nature Reserve for the annual Hanukkah seminar to continue learning and deepening their awareness of sovereignty
The seminar was opened by Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, who gave an overview of how to implement sovereignty based on the model that brought sovereignty to the Golan Heights.
Additionally, they announced that they were launching a new project: an English speaking branch of the Sovereignty Youth movement. These English speaking youth will reach out to their Jewish brothers and sisters abroad and urge them to join the movement. More details in the near future.
Professor Aryeh Eldad, Knesset Member Avichai Boaron, and Erez Tadmor presented the youth with insights on the importance of sovereignty, the need for preparing public awareness, and a call to get involved in action.
The highlight of the seminar was when movement graduate Achia Amir provided a geopolitical overview of the region, the dismantling of regional borders, and the possibility, with the rise of President Trump, of applying sovereignty and creating a new order that would bring prolonged calm to the Middle East.
The seminar concluded with a candle-lighting ceremony led by Rabbi Lior Lavi, who, in his words of blessing, stated that this youth will bring light to future generations, just as the pioneers from Sebastia, 50 years ago, brought light and changed history. In the same way, so will the youth of Sovereignty.
The seminar concluded with a summary by Oz Zeira, Chairman of Sovereignty Youth, who called for more than just study – action is necessary. He announced that together with the Vice-Chair Talia Rivka Rosh, they are opening a month of intensive advocacy activity – Sovereignty: From Vision to Reality.
The next generation of leaders is growing before our eyes, driven by seriousness and a thirst to learn and take action. It is so wonderful and amazing.Blessed is the nation whose children are these. Am Yisrael Chai!
