Dear friends,
Shalom!
This week we marked together the holiday of the Land of Israel, the holiday of the fruits of the Land, the holiday of praise to the Land, Tu b’Shevat, and due to Corona restrictions, we did not express our love for the Land of Israel with massive group plantings, processions and tours among the scenes of the Land, which strengthen our living connection to the eternal Land.
This year, we express our connection and love for our Land, with restrictions and the mutual responsibility of caring for the health of our fellows and our own health. However, these days, when we are closed inside our homes, we must also emphasize, especially to ourselves, our commitment to the Land of Israel and our love for it. We will take advantage of these days by becoming more familiar with its past, future and the destiny of the Land in the generation of redemption in which we are now privileged to live. With all of this in mind, we must all connect to our commitment to public and personal efforts to advance the commandment of inheriting the Land, the commandment of applying our sovereignty over the entire Land.
We will prepare well for the days after the pandemic, when we will leave our houses and return to the landscapes of the Land, to the streets and meetings with different sectors of the People, to varying opinions and the differences between them, and as one who gird themselves with love of the Land and dedication to it, we will transmit this further, we will broaden the circles calling for sovereignty and encourage Israeli leaders who are committed to the vision and raise its banner at all times.
A Failing Grade
In many educational institutions, report cards for the first semester are given on Tu b’Shevat. The grades that we give ourselves will be better or worse, but in one area we will not be able to give ourselves any grade higher than failing. This is the area of returning the fallen of the IDF from the Gaza Strip.
We can assume that those responsible for the matter are making significant efforts behind the scenes; it is correct to bear in mind the public mobilization for the sake of the Goldin and Shaul families, but judging by results, we have failed and we are all to blame. There is no greater sign of lack of Sovereignty, when our soldiers are still in Gaza.
This week, we participated in a vigil across the Knesset led by the Goldin and Shaul families in their demand from the Israeli government to condition the transfer of vaccinations to the Gaza Strip on returning the sons, Hadar and Oron, to their borders and their homeland. There is no demand more just and ethical than this. Our enemies, who boast of their war crimes by holding the bodies of our fallen, do not deserve humanitarian treatment as long as they adhere to their criminal ways.

Sovereignty on the Right foot
In preparation for the approaching elections, we held last night a special panel, with the participation of four representatives of four right-wing parties: Coalition head MK Miki Zohar of the Likud, MK Matan Kahana of Yamina, former minister Ze’ev Elkin of the New Hope party and Atty Simcha Rothman of the Religious Zionist party (who came in last minute because MK Betsalel Smotrich was unable to attend)
The panel, which was moderated by journalist Emily Amrousi, was broadcast in social networks and on Arutz 7, in Hebrew and with simultaneous translation to English, and dealt with how each right-wing party relates to the vision of sovereignty, settlement in the Land of Israel and the political horizon in the next few years.
The current election campaign is volatile, and not always for the right reasons. Defamation, boycotts, and reciprocal accusations play too large a role and marginalize crucial issues of substance, direction, and principles. With this panel and its activities in general, the Sovereignty Movement seeks to restore the discussion of the future of the Land of Israel, the future of the settlement enterprise, and the vision of sovereignty, to the agenda.
It is incumbent upon the Israeli public to demand from its elected officials and their representatives in the political and diplomatic arena answers regarding these significant and critical issues and on the basis of those answers arrive at a decision in the voting booth.”
The panel with the simultaneous translation into English will be uploaded on our youtube page and the main points of the participants will be presented with the next issue of the Sovereignty Journal, which we will be publishing, G-d willing, before the elections and which is now being prepared.
A visitor at the preserve
MK Osnat Mark of the Likud visited the Oz veGaon preserve on Tu b’Shevat, planted a grapevine in memory of the three youths and published moving remarks on the place, on the Land of Israel and on the growth and roots at the place where life had been cut short.

The Youth speaks to you
The youth continues to demonstrate its creativity in every way, especially during the Corona closure. Sovereignty Youth is now focusing its activities in social media, but is also well prepared for the days when they will be able to go out to the Israeli street with clear and resolute messages.

Faithful emissary
We send our congratulations to a friend of the Sovereignty Movement, Deputy Head of Samaria Council Davidi ben Zion, on being chosen on the Habayit Hayehudi ticket for the next Knesset.
Davidi is a faithful emissary of the vision of sovereignty and its implementation de facto, as an energetic and resolute deputy head of council. His being chosen by a great majority speaks clearly and strongly of the commitment by members of the party’s central committee to the entire Land of Israel.
We wish for Davidi, together with the head of the party, Hagit Moshe, who has done so much to strengthen Jerusalem, to be faithful emissaries of the People, the Torah and the Land, in the stormy political arena. Be strong and of good courage!
