Dear friends,
Shalom and greetings.
We are in the stretch before elections and it seems that an alarming and dangerous apathy is spreading among the Right camp. The sense (based on verified data) that the great majority of the People will be voting for the Right, has managed to lull right-wing voters to sleep, but reality may still blow up in our faces.
The Right does actually have the support of 70-80 mandates, but the internal rivalries within the Right camp, the mutual boycotts and vows not to sit together means that we lose the advantage and the only choice for the leaders of the Right camp, who boycott each other, is to form a joint Right-Left government whose result can only be mediocrity in the best case and in the worst case, a return to dangerous political outlines in the spirit of Oslo.
In such a situation, we must all mobilize ourselves for a massive vote, one hundred percent of the Right-wing, nationalist camp. We must be the responsible adult, who will lead to clear results on election day; results that will leave the leaders no choice but to form a broad, stable right-wing government and promote a right-wing agenda that loves the Land of Israel.
We have published a detailed article in this spirit in the media. You can read it on the Sovereignty site by clicking here.
The Youth Calls for Sovereignty
With a lightning campaign, Sovereignty Youth collected the signatures of more than a thousand youths from all parts of the Land, calling for the heads of right-wing parties to include the application of sovereignty over Judea and Samaria in their coalition guidelines for the next government.
In their call to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Minister of Interior Aryeh Deri, MK Naftali Bennett, MK Bezalel Smotrich, Gideon Sa’ar and MK Avigdor Lieberman, the youths say that we must not be satisfied with promises and declarations, but that promises made in the past to apply sovereignty must be kept.
“This time, don’t just make promises – this time, keep the promises! They demanded that the application of Israel’s sovereignty in Judea and Samaria be included in the coalition guidelines for any government in which will take part. The people votes right-wing, it deserves to have a right-wing government and you have the power to do it!” say the youths.
In a statement issued to the media, the organizers say: ““The next government faces a challenge that is a Zionist mission of the first order. As members of the next generation, who see themselves as the next link in the chain of the Zionist vision, we view the application of sovereignty as a mission and the way to achieve the next level of Zionism, implementing the dream of generations to be a free and sovereign People in its Land and to bring about stability, security and economic prosperity”.
Without doubt, the youths’ call represents “an authentic expression of the People’s healthy spirit, aspiring to strengthen its hold on the Land of Israel, remove the political question marks hanging over the future of Judea and Samaria and eradicate terror”. Again, the Sovereignty Youth demonstrates an ideological backbone; it is aware of its capability to motivate the leadership in Israel to take the next Zionist step – the application of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria”.
The sons have returned to their borders
We would like to congratulate the residents of Sa-nur in northern Samaria, for their renewed ascent to the community that was destroyed during the “Disengagement” (expulsion) of2005. Despite the folly of that step and despite the area being held by the IDF, the government of Israel has not found it correct to rebuild it.
It has again become clear that the People must awaken the leaders from below and even if, for now, the residents have decided to leave the place temporarily, the fact of their symbolic ascent to the place makes two extremely important statements – first, it clarifies that the nucleus of residents continues to demand that the government of Israel allow them to return to their land to amend the injustice and folly of its uprooting.
The second, and no less important statement is that especially in this time before the elections, it is a reminder of where a government that is not a strong right-wing government with a vision and a solid national agenda can lead. The danger of withdrawals, uprooting and the promotion of a terror state in the heart of our Land has not been removed from the political table, and if a government will arise where the Left holds the reins, we might, Heaven forbid, be faced with dangerous and tragic ideas of this sort again.
These concepts, of strengthening the settlement enterprise and removing the Left’s dangerous political plans, should be the tailwind leading all of us to mobilize to vote for a broad right-wing government on the upcoming election day.
The true and Zionist solution
Before concluding, we will relate to what was said by Minister of Agriculture Alon Shuster last week. Minister Shuster noted the great density of population in the Center of the country and claimed that because of this, we should begin to discuss limiting the birth rate in Israel.
Minister Shuster is correct in identifying the ramifications of population density in the area of the Center on the future of Israel, but the answer is really not to limit the birth rate, but to distribute the population. The birth rate should increase and lead the People of Israel’s demographic momentum in its Land. However, we must open new and additional channels for the distribution of population into additional places.
The correct understanding for this matter is the application of sovereignty over Judea and Samaria and turning the immense land reserves of that area into new population centers for the Jewish People, increasing in its Land. At a distance of a 20-minute ride from the heart of Gush Dan, a huge area is just waiting for a governmental decision to be able to turn them into new cities and towns and population centers. The solution is in Judea and Samaria.
We will again have an election-day headquarter
On election day, we will (again) have a headquarter at the Oz veGaon preserve, from which we will call on right-wing voters to go out and vote and to bring other supporters along with them. Do you want sovereignty? Go and vote! This will be our call going out from the preserve on election day.
Shabbat shalom
May we please G-d have a good election!
