We are happy to present you with our Sovereignty bulletin #71, sent to members and supporters of our Sovereignty Movement. You are invited to read, get updated, send us your comments and join:
Shalom, dear friends.
We are closely following Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s every statement and every step during his visit to the U.S.
Although the main focus is supposed to be matters connected to the Iranian nuclear project, a matter that the People of Israel is entirely united around, both Right and Left, according to information leaked prior to the visit, the political matter touching on Israel’s relationship with the PA, is also decidedly on the agenda for the visit.
Above all, it is proven again, from the latest events in Afghanistan, that an escape from terrorism yields one result: terrorism continues to persecute those who flee and show weakness. This lesson must be etched into the minds of Israeli leaders.
The Political Middle Ground
The Prime Minister’s remarks stating that he will not apply sovereignty on one hand, and on the other, will not promote a Palestinian state, sound as if they are seeking the political middle ground, which would allow the complex government that he heads to continue, but reality teaches us something totally different.
Reality teaches us, as it has taught us in the past, that there is no such thing as a political vacuum. If Israel does not advance sovereignty and does not clarify her stance resolutely and clearly, the other side will advance the division of the Land and the establishment of a Palestinian state in her heart.
The Arabs will do this with waves of terror, sensing Israeli weakness, the Europeans will do it by pouring in funds for the Arab takeover of land, the Americans will do it by pushing Israel in these dangerous directions and especially, the PA will do it with its plan of systematic takeover of more and more open areas and building massively in them.
We published an article cautioning against this and on the true political Middle Ground this week. Click here to read it.
You are not alone
Before the Prime Minister’s departure for the U.S., we sent him a letter, the main points of which were later published in the media, calling on him to stand on his ideological principles against the American President and his pressure.
In our letter, we emphasized that even if it seems for a moment that the Prime Minister of Israel is standing alone against the enormous pressures brought to bear on him, all of Jewish history is standing to his Right, encouraging his positions.
Standing alongside him is Jewish history, which, for more than two thousand years, has been manifesting the desire for Israeli sovereignty in our promised Land.
The great majority of Jewish voters who aspire to sovereignty is also standing together with him and cautioning against the establishment of an American consulate for the PA in Jerusalem because of its serious political significance.

Leaning on a broken reed
As the Prime Minister was departing for the U.S., we gathered for a vigil at the Gush Etzion Junction, calling on the Prime Minister to stand for the integrity of the Land of Israel and to bear in mind the lessons of the events in Afghanistan as well as other places: Israel must not rely on promises and declarations which, at the moment of truth, might collapse, leaving us alone to cope with harsh and brutal terror.
Among the signs at the vigil was the call to return to the values of sovereignty and to promote it, to advance the Greater Jerusalem plan and specially, to express a decisive and resolute ‘no’ to establishing a Palestinian state.
Another sign called on PM Naftali Bennett not to cave in to a weak American administration that betrays and abandons its allies.
Leaders, this is what you were elected for!
We received with great concern and painful disappointment the reports on the Defense Minister’s inflexibility on the issue of the immediate upcoming destruction of the Achiya Farm orchards and that he would not even try to reach an agreed settlement, as the High Court permits.
It has again been made clear that destruction is ordered easily against Jews, while massive illegal building by Arabs is totally ignored by the Israeli government.
The destruction that the Defense Minister insists upon joins a number of acts of destruction that have occurred lately throughout Judea and Samaria and to a greater number of acts of destruction planned for the near future.
We praise and encourage the directors of the Land of Israel Lobby, MKs Orit Struk and Yoav Kish, for taking immediate action to prevent the destruction of Achiya. We hope that dozens more members of Knesset and ministers will join in this activity because the Land of Israel is above and beyond any political dispute.
The Land of Israel has to stay outside the power games between the coalition and the opposition.
The Youth is concerned too
The youth was also active this week regarding the Prime Minister’s visit to the U.S.
In the Rose Garden in front of the Knesset, doxens of members of the Sovereignty Youth, who came from all parts of the Land, held a discussion and hasbara session on the promotion of sovereignty and the worrying warning signs coming from the political sphere.
As part of the hasbara event and the study session, the youths distributed copies of the letter that the Sovereignty Movement sent to the Prime Minister.
