A Pesach tour of about 3000 youth group members from Ariel was held in the Jordan Valley giving rise to the impressive and uplifting call for the application of sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and the entire Land.
Members of the Ariel Youth Group led an impressive rally of the next generation demanding sovereignty over the Jordan Valley during a Pesach tour held by the movement in the Jordan Valley in cooperation with the Sovereignty Movement.
About 3000 young members of the movement participated in the tour, which was held with the call to apply Israeli sovereignty over the Jordan Valley.
The event took place after the leadership of the Ariel movement sent letters of invitation to the heads of Zionist parties on the Right and Left in Knesset to participate in the concluding assembly of the tour.
Among the speakers at the assembly was Head of Jordan Valley Council David Elhayani, who stated that “the judicial reform is important but the application of Israeli sovereignty is more important. This is the way we can prove that this is our Land. This is the mission for each and every one of you – to go home and tell your parents that sovereignty must be applied. This is our mission.
Sovereignty strengthens the Jewish People in the entire Land of Israel.”
Gen. (res.) Uzi Dayan also spoke and he too emphasized the importance of commemorating the People of Israel’s entry to the Land of Israel under the leadership of Joshua Ben Nun in the Jordan Valley.
This commemoration should be combined with the commemoration of the exodus from Egypt. “It is said of Jericho that it is the lock to the Land of Israel. The Jordan Valley is the door to the Land of Israel and the key to the lock is you. You the youth are the key to the Jordan Valley to settle it and that is sovereignty. Sovereignty is touring in the Valley and settling the Valley under Israeli sovereignty.
Next Week, on the eve of the Seder, you will ask to speak not only about the exodus from Egypt but also about the entry to the Land of Israel and you will be the key to sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and the entire Land of Israel.”
The Secretary General of the Ariel Movement, Dvir Amior, told the young members about the night that he participated in a journey about 17 years ago on the way to Homesh in Samaria, to prevent the expulsion and uprooting from the Jewish communities in northern Samaria. During that journey he promised himself to feel at home in all parts of the Land of Israel. “When we exert ourselves and sacrifice for something, love enters into us. In your walk here in the Jordan Valley, we have connected to love for the Land of Israel, and from you, the youth, the next generation of the People of Israel, will come the message of complete redemption of the Land of Israel.”
“We came here to tell the Israeli government that we want sovereignty”, said Amior, “We want sovereignty in the Jordan Valley and all parts of the Land of Israel”, he declared.
Hagai Tene, a representative of Sovereignty Youth, was also among the speakers at the gathering, who connected, in their remarks, the redemption to the return to the Land of Israel and Israeli rule over it, which is sovereignty. “Every place that you walk here must be yours, there should be sovereignty here, which is control over the Land of Israel.”
The co-chairwomen of the Sovereignty Movement, Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, summarize the event, which was also attended by Atty. Nili Naouri director of Israel Forever, with great satisfaction.
"Thousands of members of the Ariel Youth Movement, who walked the landscapes of the Jordan Valley and called for the application of Israeli sovereignty in this area and the entire Land of Israel, are another strong proof of the next generation’s power, a generation that understand well its historic mission in the chain of generations.”
“The next generation understands well the significance and importance of sovereignty and as a result of such an uplifting and strengthening event, thousands have become ambassadors of sovereignty to their families, in their educational institutions and their communities, to deepen the consciousness of sovereignty in Israeli society in its entirety. The call of the young generation is the People of Israel’s call and it arises all the way to the leadership, which is committed to implementing and realizing the vision”, say Katsover and Matar, who note that “There is a broad national consensus over the Jordan Valley, from the Labor party to the right-wing parties, and the people demand the implementation of the declarations and promises made by the leaders to apply sovereignty in the Jordan Valley.”
Katsover and Matar conclude their remarks with words of great appreciation for the educational work of Dvir Amior, General Secretary of the Ariel Movement, “who is an impressive educational model for Israel’s children, fostering a strong connection between the young generation and the Land of Israel, the Torah of Israel and the People of Israel. Amior is not impressed by the current mood and remains consistent in his belief that the Land of Israel is not something political but the source of life’s essence, its identity and building the People of Israel in the past, present and future. There is no doubt that this spirit of leadership is what will lead the People to their spiritual and practical goals, including the application of sovereignty, while coping with challenges of the times and a deep gaze toward the vision for the future.”
