In remarks sent, greeting the 7th Youth for Sovereignty Conference held in Sderot, Finance Minister minister in Defense Ministry Bezalel Smotrich noted what he defined as the practical application of sovereignty taking place on the ground through construction, maintaining the land, enforcement, and paving roads, but also said that official and formal application of sovereignty will come. "We will exploit the opportunity of a friendly administration in the White House, we will finally remove the danger and the folly of a terrorist state in the heartland of the State of Israel, we will apply sovereignty over all areas of our Land," he said. He thanked the leaders of the Sovereignty Movement, Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, expressing commitment to continue leading the necessary remedy of applying sovereignty.
Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, MK Yuli Edelstein, also sent his greetings to the Sovereignty Youth and conference participants, addressing the significant issue for Israel's future - the sovereignty issue. Edelstein expressed hope for continued joint work with the leaders of the Sovereignty Movement and its members.
Head of the Yesha Council, Head of the Binyamin Council Israel Gantz also sent greetings in a video in stating that after the construction, settlement and expansion, the time has come to say clearly that this is the land of our forefathers and we will apply sovereignty over it. The voice of youth in this clear and resounding call is the most important because it is the voice of the future.
Among those sending greetings to the conference was also National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who noted in his remarks that the actions of the members of the political echelon are often influenced by voices rising from the field. Here, the role of Sovereignty Youth is crucial in leading as pioneers in setting goals for the leadership.
Also sending greetings is the rabbi of the Sovereignty Movement, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, who relates about the movement's early days, when the idea was considered a pipe dream and now it appears to be becoming a reality "because God is working with us," the rabbi said, noting the privilege of Sovereignty Youth to be those with whom the Almighty is working.
