In light of reports about government moves to apply partial sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, the Sovereignty Movement issues its response
Applying sovereignty solely to the Jordan Valley or to settlement blocs would be a strategic, security, and national mistake—especially in light of the lessons of the October 7th disaster.
Let it be clear: during the period when the U.S. was led by an administration hostile to Israel, our movement called for gradual sovereignty under the title “Jordan Valley First” — with an emphasis on the word “First.” However, the changes that have occurred since then demand a dramatic political shift, beginning with the rejection of the idea of settling for sovereignty only over the Jordan Valley or the settlement blocs.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s geo-strategic reality has fundamentally changed. The existential threat of a Palestinian state has become more urgent due to international pressure for UN recognition of such a state, and the need to reshape Israel’s national-security, settlement, and sovereignty policy has become a broad national consensus.
With a fully right-wing government in power, a majority in the Knesset committed to preventing a Palestinian state and having voted in favor of sovereignty, and a friendly U.S. administration — there must be no settling for partial sovereignty that could leave the door open for future governments in Israel or the U.S. to establish a Palestinian state, G-d forbid.
Full Israeli sovereignty must be applied, dismantling the Oslo terminology of Areas A, B, and C, and permanently blocking the establishment of a Palestinian state in the heart of our land.
We thank President Trump who normalized the idea of voluntary emigration for Gazan Arabs — the same policy should apply to the Arabs of Judea and Samaria, 80% of whom support Hamas.
The Sovereignty Movement calls upon the Prime Minister and the ministers:
Apply full Israeli sovereignty from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, and thereby sever—once and for all—the enemy’s dream of a terror state in the heart of our land. Lead the world in declaring the most important truth of all: *The Land of Israel is ours! This is our Promised Land — our past and our future are here.
